To take a break from the usual dashboard and mobile apps lifestyle that I have been living. I partnered with my husband and creative co-conspirator, Sahibzada Sangeen Noor, to take on the exciting challenge of reimagining Aunty Misri's (a US based cake kit company)'s packaging and website. When Aunty Misri came to us, they brought with them more than cake kits—they brought stories. Stories of family kitchens, secret recipes, and a vibrant celebration of flavors from around the world. Our first step was simple: listen, taste, imagine.

We treated their original logo as a treasure map, guiding us toward a fresh, playful, and bold brand identity that felt like a wink and a smile to every baker.

Stage 1: Understanding the Magic

Aunty Misri already had a presence in the US and a vision to take their brand far beyond—but they needed someone to invest the time and care to translate that vision onto their mailer boxes and truly bring the brand to life.

Each cake kit carried its own origin story, deserving a visual identity as unique as its flavor. We hand-drew and meticulously refined over a thousand tiny illustrations, weaving them together so every box could tell its own compelling story.

Stage 2: Color, Character, and Play

First came the palette—bright, unapologetic, and full of joy. Each color was chosen to reflect the spirit of its flavor: saffron golds, rose pinks, earthy browns, and warm desert-inspired oranges. Together, we created a visual language that could speak louder than words.

We paired this with hand-drawn illustrations, whimsical icons, and playful animations. Every element was a brushstroke in a larger narrative—telling stories of ingredients, recipes, and the fun of baking.

Stage 3: Packaging Adventure

The heart of the project was the packaging. Aunty Misri’s four cake kits needed to be instantly recognizable, cohesive, and flavorful in their own right. We treated each box like a tiny stage—ingredients, textures, and illustrations performing in harmony, ready to enchant anyone who opened them.

Persian Love Cake

Born from a trip through Turkey—and the soft, nostalgic pull of rose water woven throughout its cuisine—this Persian Love Cake kit feels like a postcard you can taste. Its whimsical illustration pairs curious cats with Turkish motifs and scenic vistas, blending travel and tradition into a bright, storybook world.

Peruvian Noir Chocolate Cake

Inspired by their trip to Peru—and the country’s long tradition of holding cacao as sacred, this branding leans into depth, ritual, and pure chocolate indulgence. The stone statues and dream catchers are an ode to Peruvian history and mystic.

Marrakech Spiced Coffee Muffins Kit

Born from the sun-drenched streets of Marrakech—and the earthy, spicy warmth of its desserts infused into every bite—this Marrakech Cake Kit is a feast for the senses. Its intricate patterns and playful illustrations weave desert landscapes with local motifs, turning each unboxing into a vibrant journey through color, culture, and confectionery magic.

Kesari Gulab Jamun Bundt Kit

Rooted in the richness of Indian tradition—and a passion for decadent, over-the-top desserts—this Cake Kit is a celebration in every inch. The packaging comes alive with elephants and lotus artwork, wrapping the elegant, show-stopper cake in a design as grand and majestic as its flavors.
